► EPISODE 113: Hotel Lobby Candle with Lindsay Silberman

Can you believe it has been 2 years since Lindsay was last on the podcast? (Neither can we!)

Today Michelle and Lindsay dive into Hotel Lobby Candle: from stories behind their collections and favorite scents to pair up to being an influencer brand with a loyal fan base. If you were ever unsure of starting a candle obsession, this episode will turn that around for you and entice you to hit "add to cart."

Lindsay Silberman is a luxury lifestyle blogger and the founder of Hotel Lobby Candle, a home fragrance line inspired by the scents inside five-star hotels.

When Hotel Lobby Candle first launched in October 2020, the candles sold out in 24 minutes, garnering interest from luxury retailers like Neiman Marcus. They now carry the brand both in-store and online.

Prior to launching her candle brand and lifestyle blog, she spent a decade as a magazine editor covering travel and beauty for outlets like Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Town & Country, Elle Decor, and GQ.

She splits her time between New York City & Miami with her proud Instahusband (whose Instagram handle is, in fact, @instahusband) and her mini dachshund, @longhairpierre.

In today's episode, we cover the following:

  • Hotel Lobby Candle origin story and coming up with the name

  • Creating their signature scent

  • How they approach creating scents and exploring their various collections

  • What sets Hotel Lobby Candle apart from other candle brands

  • The differences between paraffin and soy candles

  • Their concierge and leaning into a true five-star experience for their customers

  • How strong their community is and the eloquent reviews they receive

  • What's next!
