SAME SKIN COMMUNITY
FOR BIPOC & WOC

Same Skin Community was born out of the 2020 Pandemic, when founder Michelle Desouza noticed that there was a severe lack of community groups for BIPC & WOC to share their stories of grief, struggle, sacrifice, success and sisterhood. She created the group Same Skin to celebrate the fact that there is sameness in the diversity of marginalized groups — together we are of the same skin.

Our goal was to create a brand that celebrated the richness of the stories that were brought to the table, and champion how culture and heritage are a driving force in how many BIPOC & WOC find success and strength.

HOW IT STARTED

We started the Same Skin project with a Brandini scope of work to nail down colors, fonts, styles, patterns, and application of those branded pieces in real life applications.

From there, our team was able to manage Instagram and TikTok for the Same Skin brand for all of 2022, as well as assist with Creative Direction services like planning photo & video shoots, hosting events, doing on-site social, and designing Pitch Decks.
