SAVVY INTERIORS
DESIGN & REMODELING

HOW IT STARTED

Admittedly, Savvy Interiors is owned by Susan & John Wintersteen, my parents. Taking on the rebrand of the entire design-build-furnish firm was a big undertaking as they had outgrown the previous logo design (too juvenile) and were looking for something that could cater to a higher end clientele in San Diego and beyond. We took on the Full Service Brand Design scope of work to create brand guides that can serve the company through its transitions and growth in the years to come.

WHAT WE DESIGNED

As is the challenge with most interior design brands we work on, you don’t want your branding to overshadow your design aesthetic. Our solution was to come up with a logo, color palette, and font system based in a more neutral color way (adding seasonal pops when needed) balanced out with more architectural, geometric letterforms. The two are married by the use of natural textures like stone, wood, marble, linen, etc. which can be seen in much of the Savvy Interiors design work. The Savvy brand tone is brought to the surface through cheeky brand copy and punny client gifting like wine tags and house slippers.
