Opside Studio is headed up by MKWCC’s very own Online Business Manager, Cody Garner-Howe! Wanting to evolve out of her OG/DIY business name (Cody Garner Howe Online Business Management CGHOBM) Cody tasked us to come up with a stickier, more descriptive, and professional sounding name — Opside Studio was born!
We needed a brand that felt as friendly, human and warm. The brief called for something nostalgic and playful — think 80s sign-painting energy, vintage camp vibes, and a visual world warm enough to soften an otherwise buttoned-up industry.
HOW IT STARTED
WHAT WE DESIGNED
A bold, balanced wordmark that leans into the symmetry of the name itself — same letter count, mirrored details, built to be read and remembered. Paired with a sign-painterly script variation, a ribbon/flag icon, and an optional upside-down logo that's as fun to look at as it is on-brand. The color palette pulls in greens, oranges, rust, and brown — grounded and warm. Across touchpoints, the brand extends into enamel pins, patches, canvas totes, postcards, and merch that feels less like swag and more like something you'd actually want.
